As we get ready for this weekend’s winner-take-all Street League championship in Newark, New Jersey, we thought we’d take a look back at the first three stops—Kansas City, Ontario, and Glendale. Nyjah took the first two, with Paul Rodriguez taking his first win at stop 3. The top eight that will be competing this weekend are Chris Cole, Luan Oliveira, Bastien Salabanzi, Chaz Ortiz, Sean Malto, Ryan Sheckler, P-Rod, and Nyjah. Wczorajszej nocy odbyły się finały trzeciego przystanku Street League, całość wygrał w końcu kto inny niż Nyjah, a mianowicie Paul Rodriguez, który wykazał się niesamowitym poziomem jazdy, zresztą podobnie jak reszta.

Nyjah’s winning streak came to a halt today in Glendale, Arizona. P-Rod’s flawless barrage of switch tricks accumulated too many points for Nyjah to keep up with. It came down to Chris Cole, who could have taken the win on his last trick, he went for a 50-50 kickflip out on the big out-ledge and bailed it. Paul wins his first Street League ever and that nice check for 150 grand. Cole did come up in the Chevy Overdrive best trick comp. He nailed insane tricks all over the course and got 10 G’s for his effort. The top eight heading to New Jersey for the Championships are P-Rod, Nyjah, Cole, Bastien, Luan, Sheckler, Malto, and Chaz. No matter what kind of course Street League builds this year, Nyjah is going to handle it. From backside 180 nosegrinds down the big hubba first try in his runs, or kickflip backside tailslides down it during the big section, if he stays on tomorrow, he will win. Eric Koston put together an amazing run and is advancing to tomorrow. Sean Malto qualified in second with his patented style and grace. Third place qualifier was P-Rod with a beaut of a switch back tail on the big hubba. Rounding out the qualifying spots were, Luan Olveira and Chaz Ortiz, and Peter Ramondetta.
