The purpose of the United Nations is to develop friendly relations between the Berrics and skateboard companies based on respect for the principle of equal rights and self determination of our fellow skaters, and to take other appropriate measures to strengthen and promote not just a peaceful and united skateboard community but the products of all who enter into this pact. In pursuit of this purpose, the organization has officially made DGK our 26th member of the Berrics.

Started by Stevie Williams in 2002, DGK is a tribute his humble roots. The acronym which stands for Dirty Ghetto Kids was what other skaters at Philadelphia’s Love Park called Stevie and his crew because they were from the wrong side of the tracks. They took the name and branded themselves with it, not knowing that one day Stevie would turn it into a global line available everywhere from the most core skate shops to the most elite boutiques. It represents turning a negative into a positive and making something out of nothing against all odds. DGK’s graphics and apparel make bold statements that differentiates the brand from everything else out there, which is why it’s developed a cult following both in and out of skateboarding.

Na początku zeszłego roku Rodrigo postanowił opuścić szeregi DGK, nikt nie wiedział o co chodzi, tym bardziej, że miał już uzbierany niemal cały materiał na przejazd w Parental Advisory, który wyszedł pod koniec 2012 roku. Teraz okazuje się, że Rodrigo musiał z powodu osobistych wrócić do Brazylii i postanowił w końcu spędzić więcej czasu ze swoją rodziną. Mimo wszystko nie przestał jeździć na deskorolce i gdyby nie problemy ze znalezieniem kamerzysty pewnie nadal byśmy cieszyli się jego świeżym materiałem. Teraz DGK postanowiło za jego zgodą wypuścić materiał jaki wstępnie miał się pojawić w filmie Parental Advisory.
Without warning in early 2012, Rodrigo Lima decided to part ways with DGK. This decision was not only out of the blue, but also a complete surprise to everyone on the team and involved with the company. What made the least amount of sense is that Rodrigo had the majority of his part already filmed for Parental Advisory which was set to drop later that year. After his name was removed from the roster and he was absent from the video, the skate world was buzzing with questions about what happened with Lima – was he kicked off, did he quit, did something happen to him? Nobody knew.
